Canopy

We were looking for a visually interesting solution for installation of 2 pendants, where we wouldn't have to create 2 new electrical connections and patch over the existing center one. The canopy proved to be perfect in both respects. It is well crafted and looks like high quality which was important since our dining area is a focal point in our house. We had an electrician install it, and he didn't have any of the issues noted by other reviewers. #sweepstakes

We purchased this to center 2 pendant lights (purchased elsewhere) over our kitchen island. The price seemed expensive for what you get- basically just a separator bar and the electric cover. Still, this was the best option we found. We installed according to directions but measurements seemed off and the lights are a bit too short once cords were cut according to instructions. Give yourself an extra few inches beyond what the instructions provide. Overall it looks good and we are happy with the purchase.

I liked that this allows you to make a custom lighting feature, but the quality wasn't great. Issues with the ends staying screwed in due to stripping. Would expect better for the price. #sweepstakes

We have an uneven ceiling over our kitchen island that only allows for one electrical connection box. This component piece allowed us to have the look of pendents over our island, without requiring 3 separate connection points. Solved our very difficult lighting problem. With that said, the quality was meh. I've never had that experience with R&B…and we have a lot of R&B in our home. We ordered more than one of these, and all of them had stripped threading where the ends screw on. We were able to solve for it by adding some tape around the screws, but I would expect better quality for the price. #sweepstakes

I love the revealed structure, clean lines and excellent quality as well the opportunity to be creative. I am using colored cloth cords and wooden floral-themed shades made by a Vietnamese artist. #sweepstakes

I would really have liked to be able to buy room and board's pendant light to use with this, however, it needed a black cord to match the black finish of this fixture and room and board didn't offer a pendant with a black cord. They only offer white - which i think is really, really strange. I went on a hunt and found a black-corded drum light at crate and barrel. I was deep into the install when I realized that the pendant didn't hang from the cord with the wires, but from a thin wire which required me to do a few modifications to this fixture. It was touch and go but I finally got it to work. It's a very nice looking solution to wanting two drums over a dining room but not wanting to mess with adding holes and electric to the ceiling.
