Mezzo

This is a great choice for an entryway. I was replacing all of our exterior lighting and wanted something with real presence at the front door, not just another downlight, and this handmade ceramic sconce fit the bill. While I could have gone with an artful glass fixture instead, I like the unexpected material for something meant to live outside. Ceramic gives it a weight and warmth that glass or metal don't have. And it still does the job. Same non-glare, dark-sky-friendly up/down light you'd get from a classic metal tube sconce, just in a more distinctive form. As someone who gravitates toward artisan-made design, I found this met my personal aesthetic preference without departing from what the fixture actually needs to do.

Absolutely beautiful statement piece. The photos don't do it justice. It feels almost sculptural, and the matte black finish is perfection. The included bulb is quite dim, so for an outdoor sconce I'd recommend a brighter one, but the fixture itself is stunning.

Simple, elegant, well-crafted.

We recently had the exterior of our home painted and felt overwhelmed by the number of outdoor lighting options. In the end, we decided to stick with what we know and love: the Mezzo sconces we already have inside our home — and we're so glad we did. They look clean, modern, and perfectly scaled for the space.
