Overpriced good quality

They are solid floating shelves with a metal French cleat for hanging. The shelves themselves are not level relative to the French cleat on the back and there are various small defects. You can use their included spirit level or your own to make the cleat on the wall level, but once you hang the shelf it will not be level, and this happened for both units I received. Closer inspection shows that there is a 1/16" gap on one side that suggests that the shelf was clamped poorly onto the back portion or that the back portion was not cut straight. One of the shelves I received also had a glob of glue on the back that prevented it from fitting into the French cleat that I had to chip off. These are fixable issues, but overpriced for the quality.

I needed to hang a shelf above my computer that would hold a small lamp, and this one really worked well. It's the perfect depth, it's well constructed, and it was very easy to hang. Thanks to the French cleat system. I was able to hang a 36-in one by myself without any issues.

The shelves are very well made and solid wood. The mounting hardware was full length along the back, which facilitated installation, and allowed you to locate the shelves exactly.

This is a sturdy shelf. Easy to install. Has the classic clean look of all Room and Board pieces. The best part is the small lip at the front of the shelf. You won't worry about items slipping off!!

Clean and refined look for shelving. Loved the ridge on the end for photos or just added security things won't slip off. Probably will purchase more when we need more shelving!

Glue came loose after a few months

After just a few months of use, and well under 20lbs, the glue started coming loose. We've added a few screws and are hoping that holds, else we'll have to reglue it. Disappointed.
